The Golden State Warriors coasted through the 2016-17 regular seasonwith a 67-15 record and hoisted the Larry O'Brien Trophy aschampions of the basketball world for the second time in three seasons. It was a very gratifyingcampaign for point guard Stephen Curry who after earning unanimous MVP honors the previous year had suffered through an injury-laden postseason only to watch LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers steal the NBA title from his team's grasp. Steph's numbers were down a bit from his 2nd MVP campaign but he still put up a very All-Star worthy 25.3 ppg 6.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds. In the 2017 NBA Finals facing LeBron's Cavs yet again Curry and the 'Dubs (this time with Kevin Durant) controlled the series from the get-go and knocked off Cleveland in five games. In Game 1 at their friendly Oracle Arena confines inOakland the Warriors opened with a 113–91 victory as as Curry tallied a double-double with 28 points and 10 dimes to go along with six boards and three steals.
This special offering is an Official Spalding (Silver) NBA Finalsgame-used basketball that is signed and inscribed by Steph Curry. Thefull inscription reads “2017 NBA FINALS Game Used – Game #1 – 6/1/17 – 113-91 – 28 pts" in silver felt tip pen that pops to a perfect10/10 for strength and eye appeal. The Spalding basketball has “TheFinals 2017” logo on the top panel "Official Game Ball @ NBA" and AdamSilver Commissioner stamp on the middle panel and a “Western Conference Game Ball” logo on the bottom panel with "G1" penned in black marker.Condition of the basketball is EX-MT/NM with evident game-usedcharacteristics. A rare piece of championship history to own from thefranchise's second title in three years preceded by another that has everyone calling it a Dubs Dynasty.
