Nice group of 6 postcards depicting challenger Jack Dempsey's defeat of Jess Willard to capture the World's Heavyweight Boxing Championship on July 4 1919 at Toledo Ohio.
5 of the 7 are actual photos of the event. They are titled "Ringside-Willard & Dempsey" "Willard & Dempsey - World Championship Bout" "Willard Knocked to the Ropes" Willard Takes some heavy punishment in the last round" and Counting Willard Out". "Unused in decent VG condition with all but one having "Toledo Ohio July 4 1919" in pencil on the back.
Two are color drawings of the bout titled "Jack Dempsey Knocks Out Jess Willard...Become Champion of the World"." Both are unused and in EX-MT or better shape.
