One of the most documented and revered historical figures in the world of Boxing is featured here on a 4 x 6.5 original TYPE 1 photograph during his famous bout vs. Jim Jeffries in Reno Nevada over a century ago. Issued by Percy Dana Studios, this photo features a smiling Jack Johnson getting ready to square up with a nervous looking Jeffries during the 14th round in front of the, then world record crowd in Reno, Nevada. This original photograph presents in NM or better condition with only one tiny crease in the bottom left corner. Verso has som black paper affixed, presumably due to the photo being glued to stock at some point in the recent past. The rest of the black and white image is crystal clear and showcases the powerful physique of Johnson in round 14 of one of the most famous fights in boxing history. Authenticated and encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
