The 1984 NBA All-Star game at Denvers McNichols Arena saw the East record their fifth consecutive victory setting a scoring record with 154 points in an overtime thriller. The game also marked the very first edition of the Dunk Contest. It was a high level competion with a number of great aerial specialists. Julius Erving was the first player to get a 50 (perfect dunk) but the winner was Larry Nance.
This is the actual ring presented to Julius Erving in honor of his participation in the 1984 NBA All-Star Game. This size 13 Balfour celestrum ring features a beveled rectangular red stone at center with an inlaid basketball flanked top to bottom by "NBA" and "ALL STAR." On one side of the band the year "1984" is positioned above a rendering of the games official logo. On the opposite side of the band the name "ERVING" appears bannered above the official NBA logo. Ervings 1984 All-Star ring remains in Near Mint condition.
Includes a signed LOA from Julius Erving.
