The NBA 35th Anniversary Team was announced in 30 October 1980 to celebrated 35th Anniversary of NBA. Unlike its predecessor the NBA 25th Anniversary Team that followed the concept of All-NBA Team this team was more like an NBA All-StarTeam that contains the eleven best players in the NBA's 35 years existence regardless of their position and also had a coach. In addition this team did not require a player to have completed his career to be eligible for this Team. Julius Erving was one of only two active players named to the NBA 35th Anniversary All-Time Team (Abdul-Jabbar was the other). In commemoration of this great honor Erving received the offered wristwatch. The Hamilton quartz watch is engraved on the back plate JULIUS ERVING SELECTED TO GREATEST TEAM IN NBA HISTORY 35TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON 1980-81. The timepiece appears to be in fine condition though not presently working. The original band has detached at one side needing only a replacement pin for repair. This is a very important symbol of Ervings inclusion in an elite category of players in NBA history.
Includes a signed LOA from Julius Erving.
