Issued in recognition of Julius Ervings selection to the 1977 1978 and 1979 NBA All-Star Games respectively this trio of 14k gold basketball shaped presentation charms feature the 76ers logo on the fronts. Engraved on the back of each charm is the year and titling for each game and the initials J.W.E. Jr.. Each char measures ¾ in diameter. These NBA All-Star award charms are significant in that they represent the first three All-Star selections of Dr. Js NBA career. The 1977 All-Star game at the old Milwaukee Arena was the first All-Star game following the merger between the NBA and the ABA. ABA legend Julius "Dr. J" Erving took full advantage of the opportunity to entertain a wider national audience. His electrifying performance earned him MVP honors. Charms weight 4 6 and 6 grams respectively.
