A special 2010 New Orleans Saints Breast Cancer Awareness jersey worn by linebacker Jonathan Vilma in a home game against the Carolina Panthers on October 3 2010. The Saints won 16-14 as Vilma recorded one tackle and two assists. The size 42 L Reebok white jersey with black trimmed neck has the pink 'C' patch sewn on the front right shoulder in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Vilma's #51 is stitched in black tackle twill with gold outline on the front back and shoulders. Sleeves feature the Saints team logo along with the Reebok patch and they also have an elastic hem. The NFL Equipment logo patch is sewn below the neck. On back is 'VILMA' stitched in black tackle twill with gold outline on a white nameplate. '09-42 L' tagging sewn inside neck indicates year issued and size. According to the NFL COA Vilma did wear this 2009-issued jersey in 2010.
The jersey shows heavy game use. There are five team repairs all about .5" - 1.5" in length: two on the front middle next to the large '5' two on the right shoulder and one on the front left shoulder. Dozens of black marks appear all over none more pronounced than right shoulder. There is also a noticeable 3/4" hole on the right shoulder between the Reebok and Saints logos. Even with all the stretch marks and wear-and-tear there is little to no pilling or fraying. A great display of game use from a 3-time Pro Bowl middle linebacker and the 2004 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year!
Comes with a COA from the National Football League and PSA/DNA.
