Lord Elgin men's wristwatch was presented to Johnny Hopp for the 1946 All-Star Game played in Boston's Fenway Park. Inscription on the back reads "John Hopp N.L. All-Stars 1946". Signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an amateur free agent in 1936 Hopp would make his Major League Baseball debut with the St. Louis Cardinals on September 18 1939 and appear in his final game on September 27 1952 as a member of the Detroit Tigers. In between Hopp had stints with the Braves Pirates Dodgers and Yankees. 1946 was his only All-Star appearance. Watch appears to be in fine working condition with a replaced leather band. EX-MT condition.
