This lot features a pair of John Havlicek's game-worn and autographed Adidas Superstar shoes sourced directly from the Boston Celtics Hall of Fame legend himself. The Celtic green low-top sneakers exhibit outstanding evidence of "Hondo" usage from the mid-late 1970's era with many style-matched photos online. They present essentially problem-free right down to the nap of the notoriously finicky suede leather. The shoestrings are intact and there is virtually no sign of fraying of the stitching around any of the white stripes or the support areas around the heel as well as minimal cracking of the white stripe leather sections. The original insole is present and has solidified from sweating and aging. No size is indicated on the interior but they measure right around Havlicek's traditional size 14. A strong Havlicek autograph in 9/10 black Sharpie appears along the outer heel of the right shoe. It should be noted that we have sold two different pairs in our last two auctions for $3341 (Winter 2017) and $5718 (Summer 2017) respectively.
