Like so much of what he did with almost every step this final All-Star appearance by John Havlicek was history in the making as the 13-time All-Star donned his final East-West uniform after 13 consecutive appearances. Thus this seemingly pristine jersey from the 1978 contest in Atlanta bears much additional historical heft. Hondo logged 10 points in the contest closing one of the great All-Star runs in NBA history. The West squad prevailed 133-125 but arguably the bigger story was Hondos farewell appearance in an annual celebration where he had been a fixture for so many years. While showing good game use the shirt and shorts have been maintained in nearly perfect condition for 35 years. The Size 44 Russell Athletic-tagged jersey boasts an ideal Havlicek autograph in black Sharpie on the 7 on the back of the jersey. Both the jersey and the Size 34 Russell Athletic-tagged shorts are in perfect original condition with no alterations of any kind. A 1978 Atlanta NBA All Star Game Patch is found on the front left leg of the shorts.
