Joe Willie Namath guaranteed victory for the New York Jets in Super Bowl III and then delivered on his promise. This lot features a beautiful lithograph print of Namath standing in uniform in the middle of New York Citys Times Square by renowned sports artist Stephen Holland. It is a limited edition (25/25) HC print. An HC print ("Hors De Commerce" in French) which translates to "Out of Trade" in English is very similar to an Artist Proof except an HC is only available through the artist directly. They are valued as Artist Proofs or higher since they are even rarer. Measuring 28 wide and 40 high the print has been signed in 9-10/10 looking gold paint pen by both Namath and the artist. Piece does have multiple creases but should frame up nicely.
