The late great Yankee Clipper Joe DiMaggio still owns a cherished MLB record; his MLB record-breaking 56-game hitting streak set in 1941. He would also knock in 125 runs that season to go along with his .357 batting average to win the coveted American League MVP award. This lot features a series of three individually signed Joe DiMaggio Yankee Legends lithographs created by renowned sports artists Ron Lewis. In 1998 Lewis painted an original oil-on-canvas painting titled "Yankee Legends and it featured Joe DiMaggio in the center surrounded by other Yankee stars including Phil Rizzuto Reggie Jackson Enos Slaughter Bob Lemon Don Mattingly Yogi Berra Catfish Hunter Dave Winfield and Whitey Ford. These are three limited edition lithographs of that famous painting. Joe D. has signed each of the lithographs in blue marker just below his likeness at home plate. The lithos are individually numbered as follows: 160/1941 161/1941 and 162/1941. Seeing as how DiMaggio is the central figure in the painting the lithograph prints were numbered to 1941 in tribute to Joltin Joes magnificent season. The lithographs each measure 25 wide by 31 high.
Includes three full LOAs from PSA/DNA each with perfect 10 grade as well as three COAs from Yankee Clipper Enterprises Inc.
