Somebody once wrote that there were 77263127 male Americans in 1955 and every last one of them would have given two arms a leg and his collection of Davy Crockett iron-ons to be Teddy Ballgame. Okay actually it was Brendan Boyd and Fred Harris who wrote that in "The Great American Flipping Trading and Bubblegum Book" published originally in 1973. But you get the idea. And you could just as easily have substituted "The Yankee Clipper" for "Teddy Ballgame" and it would still be an operative statement. So here's a baseball with the iconic signatures of both Hall of Famers carefully engineered and affixed to a super condition Rawlings Official American League Lee Mac Phail baseball one that looks much as it must have when the two legendary figures took pen to horsehide so many years ago. The DiMaggio autograph is in blue on the sweet spot; Ted penned his on an adjacent panel in ballpoint and both are outstanding and simply superb examples of two of the most important autographs extant. The ball itself is largely as-issued and problem free revealing only the barest whisper of light staining and a bit of fading of the Rawlings and league president stamping. The ball is housed in a plastic case with pedestal.
