Jo Jo Whites career with the Boston Celtics was memorable to say the least. He scored many game-winning shots and contributed to countless fast-break buckets during his 10 years with the team. In total he scored 14399 points during his NBA career the first 13556 of which he scored as a member of the Celtics. As Bostons consummate point guard he dished out 3789 assists.
This lot features an unusual and heartwarming gift White received from his wife Debbie. She apparently had one of his game-worn right Converse PRO Keds sneakers bronzed as a thoughtful tribute and awarded it to her husband. It even includes a special bronze plaque on the bottom that reads: I LOVE YOU DEB. The shoe measures 13 long and has been autographed in silver on one side by White who added the inscription: #10 MVP 76.
