A miniature version of the spheres he once launched with amazing regularity this unique keepsake showcases the blue ink signature of HOFer Jimmie Foxx. With a diameter of just 6-3/4" this clean and creamy replica features stampings identical to those found on both OAL (Harridge) and OAL (Cronin) horsehides. The dual stamping oddity eliminates the sweet spot and thus Foxx has executed his resplendent scripting ("8" strength) on a side panel. On an adjacent panel a blue ballpoint inscription of "PRESENTED BY CLARK Nelson - JULY 1 1960" reveals the novelty's origin and the name of the Houston sportswriter who unveiled it. EX/MT condition with very minor toning and unobtrusive surface abrasions.
