Hall of Famer Jesse Haines helped the St. Louis Cardinals to four world series victories during his illustrious career with the club. His October classic record is 3-1 with a 1.67 ERA while batting .444 with a homer and four RBIs.  Elected to the Hall in 1970, Haines accumulated 210 wins, powered by his fastball during his early career and followed up with his famous knuckleball which he actually gripped with his knuckles instead of his fingertips during his later playing days.  Haines was not surprisingly a Cardinal fan favorite and held most of the clubs pitching records until Bob Gibson came along.
The Cardinals won the 1926 pennant behind a 13-4 Haines record, followed up by perhaps his best performance in any stint of games in his career during the ’26 World Series. Haines pitched a shutout of the Yankees 4-0 in game three while also belting a two-run homer. He would eventually get the start in a deciding game 7 and despite an early exit from the game due to a nasty blister during the sixth inning, he still picked up the W and the Cardinals were World Champs.
This extremely rare ring comes from that very special World Series victory.  This size 6.25 (16g) gold pinkie ring was presented to Haines for his extraordinary efforts in winning his first of four fall classics for the Cardinals.  The stunning ring has, “St. Louis Cardinals World Champions 1926” encircling the outer edge with a genuine and exquisite diamond set at the center of the face.  The inside is engraved, “Presented to Jesse J. Haines By Base Ball Commissioner.” The 14-karat gold ring is incredibly textured and alive. The scarcity of this ring is unparalleled by most any other World Series rings ever offered for auction. We have only been able to track down two others; a Billy Southworth example sold for $28,600 back in 2015 and Branch Rickey’s is off the market and on display at the Cardinals HOF museum.
