John Elways exit from the National Football League could not have been scripted any better. After leading his Denver Broncos to the AFC title the quarterback extraordinaire led them to victory in Super Bowl XXXIII by beating the NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons 34-19. In the game Elway completed 18 of 29 pass attempts for 336 yards including an 80-yard scoring strike to Rod Smith. For good measure Elway also rushed for a three-yard score in the fourth quarter. This lot includes an actual game-used football from Super Bowl XXXIII on January 31 1999 at Pro Player Stadium in Miami Florida that Elway has signed in 9-10/10 silver. Hes added his uniform number 7 after his signature. As it turned out Elway was named the MVP of the game making it super special as it was the final NFL game of his illustrious Hall of Fame career.

It should be noted that this Super Bowl XXXIII game-used football signed by MVP John Elway helps complete the consignor's incredible collection of Super Bowl I through XLVIII MVP signed balls featured in Lot 1024.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the NFL and includes a Letter of Provenance from collector Robert Zweigle.
