Jake LaMotta had an amazing career with 83 wins (30 by KO) and 19 losses with 4 draws. LaMotta fought against Sugar Ray Robinson six times and won the Middleweight Championship of the world in 1949. This lot include two items signed by "The Raging Bull." The first is a pair of Everlast gloves the right one is signed in black marker. The other item is a check dated Mar 16 1957 signed by LaMatta in black ballpoint. The check signature is faded and rates a 6-7/10. The glove autograph is still bold and rates an 8/10.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
