The late great Jackie Robinson the man who broke baseballs color barrier in 1947 played a total of 10 seasons in the major leagues all with the Brooklyn Dodgers. A career .311 hitter he collected 1518 total hits to go along with 197 stolen bases. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame as a first-ballot inductee in 1962. This lot features a dual-signed baseball by Robinson and Dodgers teammate Tommy Brown. The official National League (Frick) Spalding baseball has been signed by the two players not on the sweet spot but on the north side panel. Both players signed in dark blue ink and both signatures are remarkably strong. In fact this Jackie Robinson autograph is as dark and bold as any we have ever seen on a baseball easily rating 10/10. Brown was a utility player who spent six seasons with the Dodgers during the late 40s and early 50s 51) whose biggest claim to fame was when he became the youngest player ever to hit a home run in the major leagues when he homered on August 20 1945 at the age of 17. A unique piece of baseball sports memorabilia signed by a pair of players who were with the Dodgers when history was made.
