This is a prime example of the kind of epic collector undertaking that would make fans and even the players shake their heads in amazement and admiration. A collector compiled 384 signatures often with inscriptions added from several generations of NFL greats and stars carting around the 548-page book to autographs shows and other opportunities dutifully having players sign near their biographical entries in the important Official NFL Encyclopedia by Beau Riffenburgh and published by the NFL itself. The 9-by-11-inch book is in remarkable condition especially considering all the handling involved in compiling almost 400 autographs; book and even acetate-protected dust cover should be described as Ex-Mt condition with black signatures inside that present uniformly and startle because of the perseverance and dedication that the odyssey must have demanded. Included with the lot are eight hand printed 8-by-5-inch index cards with the name and page number of every autograph. This was a labor of love from a true fan and the kind of autograph odyssey that even the signing players would end up applauding largely because of the purity of the endeavor that the undertaking suggested.
