Beautiful pair of vintage early 1900's cigar box labels.
- Outstanding photo of Hughie Jennings sits at the center of this impressive cigar box label taken during his years as manager of the Detroit Tigers (1907-1920). A pair of action images sit at each side with his classic yell "HEY-YEA" "GET-A-LEAD" across the top. A facsimile of his autograph is at the lower right. Front of label appears to be in perfect condition. Back has a small pair of stains made by tape that was at one time used to hold the piece in place in an album or frame. Beautiful piece measures about 9" by 7 1/4".
- Beautiful full portrait of Harry Pulliam President of the National League from 1903 until unexpected suicide in 1909. Crossed bats and a ball are on one side with a glove and catcher's mask on the other. Super clean front with bright fresh color. Back has evenly very lightly toned. Gorgeous looking piece! Measures about 4 5/8" by 4 1/4".
