It doesn't get much more historically compelling than this: the actual on-deck circle from Derek Jeter's 3000th-hit game a 5-4 Yankees win over Tampa Bay that saw the incomparable Jeter up the ante when it comes to milestone efforts. Hit No. 3000 turned out to be a game-tying solo home run off Rays ace David Price a nice touch on a day when The Captain went 5-for-5 with the homer a double a stolen base two runs scored and two knocked in. Must be some good mojo in that on-deck circle. The item in question is a whopping 70 inches in diameter white with the blue-and-red iconic Yankees top hat logo in the middle at 52 inches in diameter. The rubber "circle" has a thick mat underneath making for a substantial 1/2 inch in thickness and shows good game use and some nice embellishments from Jeter who seemingly had already had a fairly full day. Jeter signed a suitably enormous black Sharpie autograph of nearly 11 inches on the logo adding the inscription "3000th Hit 7-9-11." It's a unique artifact that pays homage to a once-in-100-plus years event (he is the first Yankee in franchise history to reach the elusive milestone after all) and leave it to Jeter to find a way to accomplish it in such spectacular fashion.
Comes with Steiner LOA and holograms affixed to the circle.
