What a fantastic gamer from the 2005 Pro Bowl worn by Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Hines Ward in his fourth and final appearance at the annual game in Hawaii. Ward scored two touchdowns in the first half the first on a 41-yard reception from Peyton Manning and the second on a botched onside kick attempt that he returned for 39 yards. The AFC won 38-27 as Peyton Manning was awarded MVP. Ward has even signed and inscribed the jersey. This red Reebok jersey features Wards's #86 on the front back and shoulders in a patriotic combination of white tackle twill with red and blue outlines. Ward added his signature and number on the back '6' in thick black marker with the inscription "2005 GAME USED PRO BOWL". On a garment replete with patches of many descriptions the front includes versions from the Steelers NFL Equipment and Pro Bowl across the chest a second Pro Bowl patch below his number 86 on the back "All-Star" embroidery above the "WARD" white tackle twill letters on the back and even Steelers team logo patches on each sleeve. Sleeves also feature the Reebok patches with an elastic hem. Few things to note. The size and year tags and Reebok manufacturers tag are missing. Bottom of the jersey appears to have been cut off based on the uneven mesh fabric and partial laundry tag on bottom inside right. This is probably something Ward did himself for comfort. There are two J.O. Sports tags on the bottom inside left one reading "Hines Ward AFC Pro Bowl Jersey 2/13/05 vs. NFC." Overall the jersey shows light to moderate game use for a one-time event. A few grass/dirt marks on the front numbers and two black marks on left trapezoid.
It comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Hines Ward himself as well as a COA from J.O. Sports Inc.
