In 1962, the San Francisco Giants, under the direction of skipper AlvinDark, posted an overall record of 103-62 to win the National Leaguepennant by a single game over the runner-up Los Angeles Dodgers. Led bythe big bats of Willie Mays (49 HR), Orlando Cepeda (35 HR) and FelipeAlou (25 HR), the Giants scored a league-leading 878 runs that season.This lot features a team-signed San Francisco Giants Official NationalLeague (Giles) baseball from that remarkable season, even though theylost the World Series in seven games to the vaunted New York Yankees.The baseball has been signed in blue ink by 28 team members with StuMiller on the sweet spot. Other notable signatures on the ball includeHall of Famers Mays, McCovey, Cepeda and Gaylord Perry along with stars likeAlou, Don Larsen and Juan Marichal.
