For the discriminating collector who just cannot bear seeing yet another of the countless Mickey Mantle show signed balls dating from the 1980's we offer this extremely rare and desirable relic of vintage origin. Gracing the sweet spot of this light to creamy-toned OAL (Cronin) ball is the black ink signature (grading "8") of Mickey Mantle with his added salutation My Best Wishes. Penned during the mid to late 1960's the signature speaks of tape measure home runs career milestones and World Championships. There is a certain aura regarding such pieces today that is hard to describe. Perhaps it stems from the inherent respect that normally comes with age or the special association one feels knowing that Mantle held this ball in his hand during the heart of his career. Whatever it may be it is certainly real and tangible and distinguishes this piece as a prize of special import. Vintage Mickey Mantle "singles are seldom encountered today and it may be quite some time before another example of this quality is seen again.
