ADDENDUM: THIS IS A 1952 YANKEES TEAM BALL NOT 1953 AS LISTED IN THE PRINTED CATALOG.

The 1952 New York Yankees finished the season with a record of 95-59 winning their 19th pennant finishing 2 games ahead of the Cleveland Indians. In the World Series they defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers in 7 games to capture their fourth consecutive World Series win tying the record they had set during 1936-1939. This stunning OAL(Harridge) baseball is signed by 26 members of the 1952 World Champion New York Yankees. Players are: Bauer Berra(HOF) Brideweser Collins Gorman Hogue Houk Kuzava Lopat Mantle(HOF) Martin McDonald McDougald Miller Mize(HOF) Morgan Noren Ostrowski Raschi(SS) Reynolds Rizzuto(HOF)(SS) Sain Segrist Silvera Stengel(HOF) Woodling. Uniformly bold black ink signatures average 8 out of 10 on a clean unused lightly shellacked cream-colored ball. A unique and desirable feature is the notation "1952 World Champs" neatly written in the hand of manger Casey Stengel at the bottom of one side panel below his autograph. A very high-grade example of a significant Yankees team ball from the dawn of Mantle's prolific career made all the more appealing by a complete lack of clubhouse signatures.
