Offered here is a very solid collection of signatures from 26 different baseball Hall of Famers. There are a grand total of 30 autographed flats, the most sought after being four Artvue postcards including Satchel Paige (6-7/10 black pen), two Lloyd Waner (each 8-9/10 blue ballpoint), and A.B. "Happy" Chandler (9/10 blue marker). Part of a handwritten note in 9/10 purple pen by famed umpire Jocko Conlan (signed "Jocko") is a unique piece in this lot.
Then we have 25 signed 2"-by-3.5" notecards of the following: Mickey Mantle (9/10 blue marker); Joe DiMaggio (9/10 black marker); Stan Musial, Pee Wee Reese and Brooks Robinson (all inscribed "Best Wishes" in 8-9/10 blue ballpoint), Satchel Paige (noted "from" in 9/10 black ballpoint), Edd Roush (8-9/10 black marker), Yogi Berra (9/10 black pen), Lloyd Waner (8/10 blue ballpoint), Bob Feller, Warren Spahn, Carl Hubbell, Joe Sewell, Monte Irvin, Chas Gehringer, Jim Bunning, Ed Lopez, Whitey Ford, Al Kaline, Freddie Lindstrom, Lou Boudreau (personalized), Waite Hoyt, Early Wynn and Hal Newhouser. Rounding out this last group is Satchel Paige's Springfield Redbirds business card when he was VP of the team that the Negro League legend has autographed in 9/10 black ink. There are Paige and three L. Waner autographs included, and a total of five N.Y. Yankees.
Comes with letter of provenance from the daughter of a longtime MLB executive whose name will be revealed to the winning bidder. Autographs pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received.
