These shoes were worn by the great Grant Hill during his legendary career at Duke University that included NCAA titles in 1991 and 1992 and a near-miss in 1994 his senior season when he was the ACC Player of the Year.

During his collegiate career Hill became the first player in ACC history to collect more than 1900 points 700 rebounds 400 assists 200 steals and 100 blocked shots. He is also widely remembered for his role in a desperation play in the NCAA tournament regional final against Kentucky in 1992 which is considered by many to be one of the greatest college basketball games of all time. With Duke down 103102 in overtime and 2.1 seconds remaining an unguarded Hill heaved the in-bounds pass 75 feet across the court into the hands of Christian Laettner who dribbled once and spun before pulling up to make the game-winning jumper from just outside the free-throw line as time expired. The only people who have never seen the video tape of that shot are people who have never watched even one minute of the aptly named "March Madness."

The Adidas Torsion "Artillery" shoes are in fine condition showing good game use but otherwise are problem-free and seemingly as-issued. The intricate embroidered blue Adidas and Torsion elements on the heel and side of the shoe are in top condition as are the blue and gray leather panels and silver mesh pieces around the heel and the edges; the interior blue knit cushioned section is just as pristine as is the detailed blue black and grey rubber "adidas Torsion Artillery" components on the tongues. Hill has signed in black Sharpie on the outside panel of each shoe adding the personalization "To Big Bill" and his uniform No. 33.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from renowned shoe collector Bill Ficke.
