SHER-WOOD P.M.P. 5001 hockey stick game used by "Mr Hockey" himself Hall of Fame right wing Gordie Howe. Howe has signed on the blade in strong 9/10 looking black felt tip pen "Gordie Howe #9". For 32 years Howe played professional hockey 25 of them with the Detroit Red Wings. He appeared in 23 NHL All-Star Games and won 6 Hart trophies as the League's Most Valuable Player. 21 times he was named to the NHL All-Star 1st or 2nd Team. Twice at age 45 and 46 he was named to the WHA All-Star 1st Team. When he retired at age 51 Howe pretty much held every imaginable NHL career record. "HOWE" and an underlined "9" stamped near top of handle on side. About 2" of tape at top to form knob. Blade does have some tape with a coating applied. Stick displays good game use.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
