This lot of 3 items contains a 1975 Yankee check written to team owner George Steinbrenner, an 8x10 photograph of Steinbrenner taken by Louis Requena, and a single signed baseball. The payroll check is dated 7-1-75 and made out for $1,280.80. Steinbrenner’s signature is found on the back as an endorsement to the check. The photo by famed Yankees team photographer Louis Requena depicts a contemplative George Steinbrenner in a suite gazing out at the field at Shea Stadium in 1975. The autographed ball features Steinbrenner’s autograph on the sweet spot in 9/10 blue marker. All of Steinbrenner’s autographs have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
