The late George Mikan a.k.a. Mr. Basketball won many different accolades in the world of round ball: All-America (DePaul 194445); All-NBA First-Team (195054); four-time NBA All-Star (195154); and the winner of NBL/NBA Championships (Chicago Gears 1947; Minneapolis Lakers 194850 195254). This lot includes Mikans NIT All-Time All-Star Team Trophy that was awarded to him during the 1983 NIT Holiday Inn Tournament. The trophy stands 1`5 tall and shows a silver-plated basketball player standing atop a silver-plated trophy cup thats situated on a wooden base with a silver engraved plaque that reads: HOLIDAY INN 1983 NIT All-Time All-Star Team Trophy GEORGE MIKAN DePaul University 1945.
Includes LOA from Mikan Family.
