If you've ever seen the 1992 Hollywood movie "Mr. Baseball" you might think that Tom Selleck's left-handed swing looks pretty smooth and natural. Well he may have Gene Tenace to thank for that. Then the batting coach for the Toronto Blue Jays (who would win back-to-back World Series titles in 1991 & '92) Tenace helped Selleck prepare for his role as Jack Elliot an aging Major Leaguer forced to extend his career overseas in Japan. For his efforts as hitting instructor Tenace received this commemorative bronze belt buckle.

Designed and sculpted by Al Shelton the 2 1/4 by 3 1/2 inch rectangular buckle has an baseball diamond and a player at center flanked by an American flag on the left and a Japanese flag on the right. Four baseballs dot each corner. "MR. BESUBORU" (Mr. Baseball) appears at the top. The back is inscribed with the maker as well as six cities (4 in Japan NYC & LA) "1991" "DOMO ARIGATO" (Thank you) "Tom Selleck" with his name spelled in Japanese characters and finally "BASEBALL EDITION." Comes as issued directly from Gene Tenace's personal collection.

Includes LOA from Gene Tenace.
