New to the hobby is this vintage PSA/DNA NM-MT 8 autograph of basketball icon "Pistol Pete" Maravich on his 1971 Topps card. This is the first card of Pete's where he appears in his Atlanta Hawks rookie jersey.
Due to his sudden passing at the young age of 40 in 1988, any signature of Pete is cherished, but especially on one of his basketball cards signed AT THE TIME, during his early NBA playing days.
This is signed "Pistol Pete", as was typically his custom, in the upper right "sweet spot" of the card in bold red period ballpoint. Nice!
Note there is a slight crease in the upper left of the card, the oppsite side of where Pete's penmanship is, so it does not impact the signature at all, and barely impacts the overall eye appeal of the card.
This will make some Pistol Pete aficionado quite happy!
