Magnificent August 15 1939 ticket stub to the World Movie Premiere of that timeless musical classic "The Wizard of Oz" held on Tuesday evening at 8:30 in Grauman's Chinese Theater for one night only. Imagine how the audience reacted to the elaborate costumes beautiful set design appealing choreography and music and groundbreaking visual effects in experiencing a film now recognized as one of the greatest in cinematic history. $2.20 Orchestra ticket for Row 6 Right Section Seat 34 ticket features an eye catching geometric patterned purple colored front with a rainbow lettered "TECHNICOLOR" that practically jumps off the paper. Super clean ticket both front and on the off-white back. Ticket measures 3 5/8" by 2" with a little extra left behind at the upper right from when it was torn. Ticket rated VG by PSA due to some very small creasing visible only under a loop. Also on the back a small portion of paper loss along the lower left edge from when the ticket was torn. For the life of us we cannot see any markings on either the front or back which leaves us puzzled as to the (MK) qualifier. The finest ever handled by PSA and a true rarity. A 'Good PSA 2' example recently sold for $6083 (Nate Sanders) and it wasn't even a full stub; the upper right corner was cut before the stub line. What an outstanding one-of-a-kind memento from one of the rare classic movies that will live in people's hearts for generations to come.
