Working with a crew assigned the task of taking down removing and storing the flagpoles which had stood for years in front of old Yankee Stadium. Everything else was to be demolished and thrown away. He was surprised to find both the huge American andNew York Yankee flags still flying. His quick thinking rescued these two treasures from certain destruction as they were both about to be tossed in the dumpster. Both were carefully removed by him and saved. Great care was taken to see that the large American flag never touched the ground during this process. Our consignor took them home and has held them there until now. The time has come to offer these items to the ultimate Yankee fan who has both the room and the ability to care for these two treasures. A once in a lifetime opportunity. The large Yankee banner measures 8 feet by 5 feet with the American flag 12 feet by 7 and a half. Both show great signs of there service with the American flag exhibiting the most.
