Fenway Park is one of the most iconic baseball parks in the Major League Baseball. Constructed in 1912 it has been home to the Boston Redsox for more than 100 years and is the oldest park in MLB. Due to the lack of space the park has been renovated or expanded many times resulting in unique quirky features including "The Triangle" "Pesky's Pole" and most notably the famous Green Monster in left field. Fenway has hosted ten World Series first the 1912 World Series in its inaugural season and most recently the 2013 World Series. On March 7 2012 the park was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is considered to be one of the most well-known sports venues in the world. Without a doubt one of the most memorable moments at Fenway park came in the 12th inning of game 6 of the 1975 World Series against the Cincinnati Reds when Carlton Fisk hit a towering fly ball towards the 37 foot high Green Monster He jumped and waved his arms in an effort guide the ball fair. The ball ricocheted off the foul pole winning the game for the Red Sox and sending the series to a seventh and deciding game the next night which Cincinnati won.

Measuring 21-1/2"-wide and 26-3/4"-tall this American League keepsake predates the current "Green Monster" seats and features a three-panel wooden back rest and a wooden folding seat. Painted dark-blue remnants or red paint are visible underneath on the metal frame. A white "9" seat number (on the top back rest panel) is an homage to the great Ted Williams. Expected use is evident with paint chips throughout.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
