Five-time Super Bowl Champion and four-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady of the New England Patriots knows a thing or two about hoisting the famed Lombardi Trophy. He has now eclipsed Pro Football Hall of Famers Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana (both with four apiece) for the most Super Bowl wins ever by a starting quarterback. This lot includes a Tom Brady autographed and inscribed replica Lombardi Trophy named after legendary Green Bay Packers head coach Vince Lombardi. It stands 23” tall weighs 11 pounds and pays tribute to New England’s incredible second-half comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI (51) on February 5 2017. The neck of the trophy upon which rests a silver football reads: “VINCE LOMBARDI TROPHY SUPER BOWL LI AFC vs. NFC.” It goes on to reflect the final score of the game: “NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 34 – Atlanta Falcons 28”and also spells out the location and date of the game: “NRG STADIUM HOUSTON TEXAS FEBRUARY 5 2017.”
Trailing 28-3 at halftime Brady engineered a comeback for the ages as he led the Patriots to 31 unanswered points the final six of which were scored by New England running back James White in overtime on the Patriots first drive. It marked the first Super Bowl ever decided in OT. Tom Brady won game MVP honors for the record fourth time by throwing for 466 yards and two touchdowns. Near the top of the neck of the trophy Brady has signed directly on the trophy his name in black marker and added the inscription: “SB 51 MVP.” Near the bottom of the trophy’s base rests a TriStar hologram sticker (#7778367) next to a special callout in black marker reading “LE 5/12” (the 12 being Brady's uniform number). Brady will no longer autograph replica Super Bowl trophies per his TriStar agreement which makes this limited edition item all the more exclusive and valuable. You can't ask for a better way to decorate this trophy than with the autograph of arguably the best quarterback of all time!
