Uniquely offered in this lot is a fabric swatch from the Wright Flyer, which is the first airplane that made its debut flight at Kitty Hawk on December 17th of 1903. The Wright brothers are of course famous for being the first in mankind to produce flight. The CAG encapsulated fabric measures approximately 1.25"x1.25" in size. The fabric is sourced from one of the wings of the Wright Flyer. Parts of the fabric could not be used for public exhibition and were removed from the original Kitty Hawk and given to individuals in the aeronautical community by Orville Wright. This piece of fabric was originated from the Otto Kallir collection. Encasement by CAG measures approximately 2.3"x3.3" in size. An exquisite piece of memorabilia from the first flight that pioneered the century of aviation and space travel.
