This offered game-worn jersey hails from Hall of Famer Jamaal Wilkes who played on four NBA Championship teams with the Warriors and Lakers and two NCAA Championship teams under John Wooden at UCLA. "Silk" parlayed his silky-smooth style at small forward into career averages of 17.7 points and 6.2 rebounds over his 12-year NBA career. Wilkes donned this Los Angeles Lakers home gold mesh gamer in the early to mid 1980’s (circa 1980-85 according to MEARS) at the height of the “Showtime” era.

The appropriate "Tiernan of Glendale Calif." tagging (slightly faded) appears on the front shirttail at the middle hem. Wilkes' No. “52” appears front and back with "LAKERS" across the front and “WILKES” arched on the upper back. All-original letters and numbers are sewn directly on the shirt in purple-on-white tackle twill. Purple and white elastic trim adorns the collar and yokes. The shirt shows excellent wear with stretching to the gold mesh and light sweat staining visible on the white trim but minimal fraying and pilling. Simply a perfect example to own from Wilkes who from 1979-83 averaged over 20 points per game in helping the Lakers win two titles over that span.

Letter from MEARS with perfect A10 grade.
