Before he became the premier first baseman in the National League in the 1970's Steve Garvey tried his hand at the opposite side of the infield at third base a spot he patrolled when he first came up for the Dodgers from 1970-72. This third baseman's glove shows excellent game use during those early years. Garvey has signed the glove with his last name in vintage green marker above the Rawlings red tag on the fingers adding his No. 6 beneath the autograph and also on the thumb. The pocket shows the expected wear from genuine game use; all elements of the glove seem to be essentially as-issued and problem-free. According to our consignor this glove was originally sourced from agent John Boggs.

LOA from Steve Garvey.
