The great Doc Gooden wore these Brooks cleats during his time with the Mets the key years of a 16-year MLB odyssey that that included the 1984 Rookie of the Year Award the 1985 Cy Young Award four All-Star appearances and three World Series Championships. He was clearly the most dominating pitcher in the game in the mid-1980's leading the NL in strikeouts in 1985 and 1985 and wins and ERA in 1985 earning the rare pitcher's Triple Crown that gaudy season. "Doc" penned his autograph on these heavily game-used Brooks cleats with his last name appear atop the white leather graphic element on the outside of each shoe. As noted the shoes show significant game use but remain largely with all elements intact and as-issued with the exception of the toe of the right shoe which has worn to the point of separation from the toe plate and even some missing fabric. Dragging your shoe across the mound at Shea Stadium in Flushing Meadow will have that effect. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bill Ficke.
