Dwight D. Eisenhower served as the 34th President of the United States from January 20 1953 to January 20 1961 successfully running for 2 consecutive terms. This lot is for Dwight D. Eisenhower’s personally owned Gridiron Club 14K Gold Money Clip. (2”x1”). One side bears the symbol of the Gridiron Club & Foundation and the dates 1885-1960. This exclusive club for journalists publishers and broadcasters was founded in 1885 and holds annual dinners or roasts. The back side is engraved: "Dwight D. Eisenhower/ Pres. of the United States/ January 20 1953/ January 20 1961". It is stamped 14K with the hallmark of the maker Blackinton. Weighs 30.7 grams. Property formerly from the collection of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
