On October 8 1956 New York Yankees right-hander Don Larsen threw the only perfect game in World Series history. Pitching against the National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers Larsen who stood 6 4 and commanded a wicked fastball teamed with battery mate Yogi Berra to turn in a performance for the ages. He needed just 97 pitches and struck out seven Dodgers during the course of the contest including pinch-hitter Dale Mitchell for the games final out.

This lot features an oversized (28 wide x 47 high) framed lithograph from renowned sports artists Stephen Holland showing Larsen in mid-pitch during the unforgettable outing. Set against a scoreboard backdrop the lithograph shows Larsen amidst a montage of zeroes commemorating the only no-hitter and perfect game ever thrown in World Series competition. Whats more Larsen has signed the lithograph in silver marker with the following inscription: 10-8-56 27 Up 27 Down Game 5 97 Pitches Only World Series Perfect Game. Beautifully framed and matted this limited-edition (#18/56) lithograph is ready to proudly adorn any baseball collectors wall.
