Baseball memorabilia has always been cherished by fans and collectors alike, but few items hold as much significance as single-signed baseballs that capture historic moments in the sport. Today, we delve into the stories behind two legendary pitchers, Don Newcombe and Don Larsen, whose autographed baseballs provide a unique glimpse into their remarkable careers.Don Larsen, forever etched in baseball history, is commemorated with a signed baseball inscribed with the words "PG 10 8 56" in black pen. This inscription represents October 8th, 1956, a date that resonates with baseball enthusiasts worldwide. On that day, Larsen pitched a no-hitter during Game 5 of the World Series, the first-ever no-hitter in World Series history. This extraordinary feat solidified Larsen's place as a true pitching legend and forever linked his name with baseball greatness. In a league of his own, Don Newcombe's autographed baseball in blue pen bears the inscription "Cy Young '1956' NL MVP." Newcombe's career spanned various leagues, from the Negro National League to Nippon Professional Baseball. His impact on the game cannot be understated. Newcombe achieved an unprecedented trifecta of awards: Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, and Cy Young Awards. This remarkable accomplishment showcased Newcombe's exceptional talent and cemented his place as one of the game's all-time greats. Both of these extraordinary baseballs have been authenticated by PSA/DNA, further ensuring their historical value and authenticity. These unique artifacts not only serve as tangible memorabilia but also offer a glimpse into the rich tapestry of baseball history. They represent milestones achieved by two remarkable pitchers who dominated the game during their respective eras.
