The late Don Drysdales playing career with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers came to a halt during the 1969 season but his loyalty and future broadcasting days with the Dodgers was far from over. In fact Drysdale began his broadcasting days with the Dodgers in 1988 the same season they won their last World Series. This lot features several pieces of equipment Big D wore during a few Dodgers Old-Timers Day Game in the late80s and early90s.

There are three different Dodgers game-worn jerseys two home variations and one road gray. The two white home uniforms read Dodgers and Los Angeles respectively in blue script tackle twill lettering while the lone road gray reads Dodgers in blue tackle twill script outlined in white. All three jerseys boast Drysdales patented uniform number 53 in red tackle twill on the left breast area. The two Dodgers jerseys include W.A. Goodman & Sons manufacturers tagging on the inside rear collar complete with washing instructions which means they are from the mid-1980s. The lone Los Angeles jersey includes AIS tagging on the left front tail which dates it to the 1988-89 era. All three jerseys feature DRYSDALE arched across the shoulders in blue tackle twill outlined in white above his uniform number 53 in like fashion. All three jerseys reflect game use.

In addition this lot includes a Los Angeles Dodges New Era cap (size 7 5/8) that has 53 written in black on the underside of the bill. Based on its tagging the New Era cap dates 1988-89. Finally the lot features two 16 x 20 color team photographs showing the Dodger Alumni participants in the 1988 and 1992 Equitable Oldtimers Day Dodger Stadium games. They both include special blue machine printing to indicate the years of the two different games; Big D played in both.
