In 1967 the Los Angeles Dodgers season was less than memorable. Just one season removed after losing the World Series to the Baltimore Orioles the Dodgers faltered to a record of 7389 and finished ahead of only the Houston Astros and the New York Mets in the National League race a full 28.5 games behind the National League and World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals. It was the Dodgers worst record since the war-affected 1944 season and their worst peacetime record since 1937. The Dodgers would not return to the postseason until 1974. Nevertheless their roster was loaded with on-the-field talent that would shine through in the seasons to come.

This lot of 10 features Dodgers team-signed baseballs from the 67 campaign. Five of the autographed spheres are Official National League (Giles) Spalding baseballs while the remaining five balls are Spalding branded baseballs with Los Angeles Dodgers stamped on each of them. Every one of the baseballs boasts 20 signatures with Hall of Fame Manager Walter Alstons autograph gracing the sweet spot. Though two of the baseballs show major bleeding of the signatures eight of them have retained their legibility and appear solid. Notable signatures all in blue ink on the baseballs include Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton along with Ron Fairly Ron Perranoski Dick Schofield Willie Davis Jim Brewer Gene Michael and Claude Osteen. Interestingly Drysdales signature is not on a single baseball.

Includes LOA from the Drysdale Family.Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
