LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers entered the 2020-21 NBA season on December 22, 2020 just 72 days after winning the 2020 NBA Finals over the Miami Heat. The Lakers were presented with their championship rings before the game against the Los Angeles Clippers at crypto.com Arena. LeBron registered a dominant performance, registering a team-high 22 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists in just 28 minutes of action as the Clippers prevailed in a tightly contested 116-109 game.
Presented is LeBron James' gold Icon Edition jersey from that December 22, 2020 ring night contest against the Clippers. The Nike jersey has the iconic "LAKERS" lettering sewn on the chest above James' number "23." The Nike logo is on the right shoulder and the Wish logo on the left. White and purple trim rings the neck and arm openings. The lower left front tail has the size 52 Nike/NBA label and an individual serial number label sewn adjacent. A "Length +6" flag tag is attached to the Nike label. "12-22" is handwritten in permanent marker on the tag. The back has “JAMES” and his number “23” in individually sewn characters. The jersey shows great game use with some light toning, staining, and loose threads on the graphics. The jersey is registered into the NBA and MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number "LALW04214."
