This 1 1/4-inch oval gold charm is from the 1979 NBA All-Star Game in Detroit won by the West 134-129. Someone named Erving was the high scorer with 29 points for the East (George Gervin added 26) but the MVP of the Game was David Thompson with 25 points for the winning West squad. The neat little charm features a 1979 NBA East West All-Star Game logo on the front with the iconic NBA logo on the reverse adorned with an engraved "Skywalker" inside the logo that succinctly but eloquently tells us who the MVP of the game was. Gold plated. The charm appears to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from David Thompson.
