Hodges helped the Los Angeles Lakers win their 15th championship in 2009. Hodges and the Lakers celebrated the achievement in style with a little help from celebrity jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills. To mark this monumental achievement for the franchise they opted to select a fresh new designer to unveil a championship ring like none other. Among the many unique design features of this 2009 Los Angeles Lakers World Championship ring issued to coach Craig Hodges is its use of 15k gold. While rings are typically 14-karat gold the designer created the teams set in 15-karat Laker gold to honor the teams 15th banner. The ring is identical in size and craftsmanship to those the players received. It is made of both white and yellow gold and was built from seven different parts that had to be assembled. Rings are usually made in one piece. The ring rocks 15 diamonds weighing in at 2.85 carats. The basic shape of this Laker ring is similar to the shape of the Staples Center. When looking at it from a side angle you can see the roof and sides of their home court. One shank features the name Hodges above a laser engraved rendering of the L.A. skyline year and Lakers season record. The opposite shank features laser engraved playoff series records color enameled NBA logo and roman numeral XIV. The ring bears a serial number that matches accompanying paperwork and certificates from the ring manufacturer. Also included is a LOA from Criag Hodges. The Hollywood packaging is equally impressive. The ring comes in an oversized custom box that has LED spotlights that shine on the ring and an engraved nameplate with Hodges name and titling. Rarely are modern NBA Championship rings from such prominent sources offered for public sale. This offering is a rare opportunity to obtain the ultimate prize for any Lakers fan.
