This Official American League Harridge ball boasts a large 8/10 Connie Mack signature on the sweet spot complemented by extensive inscriptions befitting a baseball from Mack's 1950 Golden Jubilee which marked the manager/owner's 50th year at the helm of the franchise. On one panel is a notation that the ball was used to open a game between the Athletics and the Red Sox on April 21 1950 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia Penna. A second panel has the notation "Golden Jubilee April 21 1960." The ball is essentially clean and problem free; light shellack was applied to the three autograph areas in an effort (successful) to preserve the clarity of the signatures.
